Success Stories - Sheri
“My name is Sheri O’Boyle. Until about two years ago, I was working for PeaceHealth, Oregon Region as I was finishing my Masters Degree. When the economic downturn hit, I was for the first time in my life unemployed.
My position was eliminated.
I learned about Lane Workforce Partnership and entered their Executive Career Finders program. I learned to how to truly market myself through active interviewing, practice interviewing and going on mock interviews.

They helped me put together a career portfolio that I was able to use when I went to job interviews. There were a lot of materials in that portfolio that I had at my fingertips.
The most beneficial to me was the WIA training scholarship I received. I used the scholarship monies to attain my Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certificate. It is a globally recognized certificate that gave me the added credibility I needed to stay in the health care field because that is really what I wanted to do.
I attained a position with Silverton Hospital as their Director of Education. It is probably my dream position. It is a position that I am going to be in for many years to come. It is everything that I have been looking for and more. I do feel that I owe a lot to Lane Workforce Partnership for their assistance.”
