"I can now provide for my son, and life looks so much brighter."

Janet is a 52 year old single mother with 1 child.   Not having a high school degree and being out of the job market for several years while caring for her parents until they passed away, she had great difficulty finding work.   She was discouraged about her circumstances and was giving up on her ability to find employment.

Staff worked with her on building up her self-esteem and developing her work skills.   Using the interview skills and job search strategies she learned at WorkSource Lane, along with her prior experience working in shipping and receiving, she landed a job with Next Step Recyling.
