A service of WorkSource Lane, Rapid Response services is designed to respond to Lane County businesses experiencing layoffs or company closure. Services are provided at no cost to the employer or their employees.
- Rapid response assistance can help keep productivity high, costs low, and maintain a positive work environment for workers.
- Early notification to employees can create an environment where rumors can be addressed and controlled; potential for sabotage or theft is reduced or eliminated; production remains high and workers are more likely to remain company attached until their release date.
- In companies where advanced notice and placement services are offered, worker compensation claims and increased use of sick leave are greatly reduced.
- Staff from WorkSource Lane is able to provided assistance to Human Resources staff as they face an increase of questions, complaints and concerns from employees.
- Assistance is provided in understanding government regulations regarding The WARN Act, (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act), Trade Act, and Unemployment Insurance.
