Assistance with layoffs and closures
A service of WorkSource Lane, Rapid Response services is designed to respond to Lane County businesses experiencing layoffs or company closure. Services are provided at no cost to the employer or their employees.

The process and steps implemented during a rapid response vary depending on the specific employer or worker needs. Services can be provided over the telephone or through on-site orientations. If appropriate, an on-site resource room is available to employers. The resource room is staffed with career advisors from the Lane Workforce Partnership, Lane Community College, and skills matching analysts from the Oregon Employment Department.
Employers receive information regarding services and eligibility guidelines related to WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification)/NAFTA (North American Free Trade Act) and Unemployment Insurance.
